Accessibility Statement
Last updated 29 September 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Empathy, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. This statement explains the standard we follow, what we have checked, what we know is not yet perfect, and how to tell us about a problem.
1. The standard we follow
We aim to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) at level AA, as required by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. Our automated checks also cover the WCAG 2.1 level AA rules.
2. What we checked, and when
The last full review was on 29 September 2026. It covered the home page and its live demo, sign-up, sign-in, email confirmation, password reset, the account page, the conversation screen (including the crisis-resources card and the plans window), the “Need help now?” page, and our Terms, Privacy Notice, Refund Policy and this statement.
- Automated testing with the axe-core accessibility engine on every one of those screens, in each state a person can reach. These checks now run automatically on every change to the site, and a change that fails them is not released.
- Keyboard-only use: every control can be reached and used with the keyboard, focus is always visible, and pop-up windows take focus when they open, keep it while open, close with Escape, and return focus to where you were.
- Screen-reader support: every field and button has a spoken name, each message in a conversation says who wrote it, new replies are announced as they arrive, and errors and status updates are announced.
- Readability: text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratios, pages work when zoomed to 200% and on a phone-sized screen, each page has its own title, and the site respects your system's “reduce motion” setting.
3. Known limitations
- Paymentsare handled in a checkout window provided by Paddle, our reseller. It is Paddle's own page, and we cannot test or change its accessibility. If you have trouble paying, write to us and we will help.
- Daimon's replies are written by an AI and may occasionally contain formatting a screen reader reads awkwardly, such as lists or emphasis.
- Language: the site is in English. You can write to Daimon in other languages, including right-to-left languages such as Hebrew and Arabic, and your text is shown in the right direction.
- Our review has been done by our own team with automated tools and by hand. It has not yet included testing sessions with people who use assistive technology every day. We intend to add them.
4. Contact us about accessibility
